14 Arrested for $16 MILLION Welfare Fraud Scheme

Welfare fraud is a major problem. Not for liberals, they have no problem with people abusing a generous system. It helps them get votes.

Food Stamp benefits cost Us taxpayers $74.1 billion in 2014. Around 46.5 million Americans use them.

An average of $125.35 for each person per month in food assistance. The number one thing people buy with these benefits?

Soft drinks like Coca Cola. Which is fine but isn’t this money meant for essential food items? One of the most common food stamp fraud is trading in cards for a fraction of their face value for cash.

Drugs and booze being the primary thing the cash is spent on.

In a recent story out of Baltimore, fourteen people were arrested in raids that equaled $16 million in food stamp fraud. More than a dozen retail store operators in and around Baltimore have been charged in connection to a huge food stamp and wire fraud scheme.

The indictments allege the retailers received more than $16 million in federal payments for transactions in which they did not provide any food, a fraud scheme commonly known as “food stamp trafficking.”

As a result, they allegedly got $16,482,270 in deposits. Then we saw the names of the accused. And it’s a shocker:

Walayat Khan, 36, of Reisterstown

Shaheen Tasewar Hussain, 60, of Ellicott City

Mulazam Hussain, 54, of Windsor Mill

Mahmood Hussain Shah, 57, of Catonsville

Muhammad Rafiq, 58, of Reisterstown

Mohammad Shafiq, 50, of Gwynn Oak, Maryland; and his daughter,

Alia Shaheen, 24, of Baltimore

Mohammad Irfan, 59, of Nottingham

Muhammad Sarmad, 40, of Nottingham

Kassem Mohammad Hafeed, a/k/a Kassam Mohammad Hafeed, 51, of Baltimore

Ten of the 14 are Muslim. How much of that cash made it back to terror organizations? Even if indirectly.

We are fools to do this. Fund our enemies. Trump arrives literally just in time to fix this corrupt easy to abuse system.
