Nancy Pelosi Hits The Bottle After Dems Reveal Biggest Hurdle To Winning House In 2018

Nancy Pelosi

Democratic Representative Filemon Vela called out House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. He dubbed her as an “obvious obstacle” to the Democrats and he believes that she will prevent them from reassuming the majority in the House. Vela wants new leadership.

During an interview with BuzzFeed, Vela made it clear that to win the House in 2018, which isn’t happening, they must depose Pelosi as a leader of the Democratic contingent in the House. The Democrats haven’t had the majority in the House since 2010. Vela’s district is safely Democratic.

Predominantly, the party that doesn’t have the White House does very well during the midterms.

“When we go to 2018, if we’re going to win the majority, Democrats have to win swing districts, which means winning independent voters, swing voters, and even Republican moderates,” Vela said. “The problem is that in that demographic … it is real clear that the drag on our candidates is Nancy Pelosi.”

“If you have an obvious obstacle, why not remove it?” he added.

This isn’t the first time Vela has called her out.

After Jon Ossoff expectedly lost the special election race in Georgia, Veal had an interview with Fox News. He put forth the fact that the GOP won despite the cheating of the Democrats and they were so successful because they tied Ossoff to Pelosi.

“I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top,” Vela said. “Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that [Jon] Ossoff lost, but she certainly is one of the reasons.”

Pelosi ignored the criticism at the time; she believes that she is a “master legislator.”

“I don’t want to be quoted as saying she’s like a negative across the board. I think she’s a negative in the swing districts that matter most in terms of us being able to take the majority, “he said, adding he wasn’t afraid to criticize her publicly.

What do you think of Vela calling her out?
